Currently we are phone triaging the majority of our patients. This allows our nurses and GPs to speak with you first, assess your symptoms and then make the most appropriate appointment for you. Phone triage also allows our medical team to arrange any pre-work you might need – for example, blood tests, prescriptions, x-rays or referrals. Pre-work can all be arranged over the phone without you having to come into the medical practice. This saves time, is more convenient for you and means your appointment with your GP can be more efficient.
Please note, there is no charge for a triage phone call that results in you coming into the practice to see a GP in person – only the fee for the in-person consult will apply.
